Minyan Meyuchad – Sample Service                                                    January 5, 2006

While there is much continuity to the services within Minyan Meyuchad from month to month, we do not have an absolutely fixed service format.  Provided it is within the general ambit of what the group does, service leaders may adjust the service (e.g., with supplemental readings and songs) in ways that draw upon their particular skills and interests.  Should the service leader contemplate a service radically different from what we usually do at MM, he or she should consult with a member of the planning committee first.

That said, we thought it might be helpful, especially to new service leaders, to provide a sample service indicating some of the basic prayers usually, though not always, covered.  All references are to Siddur Eit Ratzon (Joseph G. Rosenstein, 2003).

Finally, please know that, as with leading the Torah discussion, there are many resources to help.  Most notably are other minyan members and the Rabbi.  Also quite useful are the many fine online resources (such as www.sidduraudio.com or www.virtualcantor.com) containing liturgical melodies.
